Seventh Day Adventist Christians, who reportedly live an average of 10 years longer than most, will on Sunday 29th April, 2018, call all from near and far, to Move to Live! This initiative is being spearheaded by the Health Department of the Saint Lucia Mission of Seventh-Day Adventists. It will feature an ambitious and fun, brisk walking activity.  According to Pastor Lucius Philip, Health Ministries Director attached to the Saint Lucia Mission of Seventh Day-Adventists, every effort to respect the human body as the temple of the Holy Spirit finds its authority in pivotal, bible-based principles.

The Move to Live initiative first observed in July of 2014, has as a primary objective the promotion of this healthy culture in Saint Lucia so that citizens might live longer, more fulfilled and productive lives, which benefits not only the Christian church, but the entire society. This event is gradually becoming an annual sensation amongst Christians, health fanatics and fun lovers alike.

For individuals with a T-Shirt, registration fee is only $10.00 and for those who desire the official Move to Live T-Shirt, registration is $30.00 Accordingly, participants have the option of choosing either the northern route, which starts from Massy Mega Carpark in Choc, or the southern route, which starts from the Clendon Mason Secondary School in Dennery and ends at the La Bayee S.D.A. Church. The walk will commence at 5:00 a.m. from each of the respective sites and end at 8:00 a.m.

There will be prizes for the youngest and oldest walkers, the obstacle challenge and the church with the most participants, along with other attractive gifts. Prospective walkers are encouraged to register early at the Saint Lucia SDA Mission Office in Sunny Acres, Prayz FM office on Lanse Road, or with any local Health Ministry’s leader.
