The Women’s Ministries Departments of the St. Lucia Mission of Seventh Day Adventist headed by Sister Carmen Charles and the Grenada Conference headed by Sister Shirley Roberts hosted a very successful joint retreat from March 29 to April 1, 2018, under the theme “Learning to Lean.” Latoya Write, who was the esteemed guest speaker at this year’s retreat reminded women that in spite of the difficult times we are living in, our only hope is to lean on Jesus.

According to Sister Carmen Charles, the main objective of the retreat was to nurture, mentor and build friendships for stronger women in 2018.

The retreat was held at the Coco Palm Resorts in Rodney Bay Saint Lucia. The highlight of the retreat was a sea voyage to the town of Soufriere. The group of 118 women and 2 men ministered to persons in the town, praying with them and delivering food and clothing items to persons in need. Both the sea voyage and the outreach program were a blessing to the participants and the recipients.
